Explained: Portfolio Settings
The settings tab let's you delete your portfolio, select DRIP share cost inclusion, or manually set your portfolio Dollars Invested. This allows you to calculate your true total return from dividend investing. Reinvested Dividends and Capital Gains are not a cost. This dollars invested variable should represent the money used to initially fund your account.
Include DRIP Shares in Cost Basis?
Select whether or not you want to include shares earned from Dividend Reinvestment (DRIP) in your portfolio's cost basis. This will change the total return for each stock and overall portfolio. Choose to include or exclude DRIP shares.
Set Your Dollars Invested
Here you can manually set Your Dollars Invested. Ideally, this dollars invested variable should represent the money used to initially fund your account. This allows you to calculate your true total return from dividend investing.
Delete Account
On the selected account, you can delete your portfolio in the settings tab. This will delete all the stocks in that account and remove it from the Portfolio dropdown options.
